Freight Class Estimator provides educational estimates of NMFC-style freight class from shipment density. Results are approximate, omit many classification factors, and can become outdated when industry tables change.

Not classification advice or a quote

Nothing on this site is legal, freight-classification, or brokerage advice. Confirm with your carrier, broker, or NMFTA ClassIT+ before tendering. We are not affiliated with NMFTA or any carrier.

Density-only estimate

Estimates use density alone. Stowability, handling, liability, and specific NMFC items can change class. Optional DIM weight is educational only; carrier factors vary.
